Gargoyles curs of the harpy pt 1

It was late night as liberty few through new york in joining the cool air on skin a bit darker color then the statue she was named after. She closed her eyes and flew side ways she wished she that she would never turn back to stone to fly with the sun as much as she loved the night. The with no warning something slammed there feet into her back knocking her off her path and in to a church bell tower. She rolled a few times before sitting up and rubbing her head it had to have bin Brooklyn getting her back from last night when she used him as a launching lift. With her eyes still closed she heard someones foot steps come closer to her.

" Ouch!  Brooklyn that hurt I get you were paying me back for yesterday but at lest I had a reason. You don't just come up and do that you could have torn my wing! " she said


" Oh darn that would have made this simpler for me. " said a raspy voice of a woman.


Liberty opened her eyes  she knew the voice looking up she saw it belong to a gargoyle but  this one was different her skin was an orengie red and her clothes were black her eyes were full yellow and her hair was as red as fire.


" But if I have to kill you with your wings I will! " she said lunging a Liberty how rolled out of the way and into a crouching pose .

Liberty had heard that voice before but where? She didn't recognize the woman and why was she trying to kill her?


" Hold still and I may kill you quickly! " she said


" who are you?! " liberty asked standing up" and were did you come from? " the woman ran at her this time drawing her sorwd and swung it around just a Liberty jumped and push off into the air. Below her the woman looked up as if shocked but soon flew up in the air flying eight feet away from liberty.

" you can fly? How? " liberty asked

" well since I want you to die knowing who killed you I shall tell you I am  Delfeen and I shall wipe out your traitorous clan! " she said flying at Libby

" whow ! " liberty jumped to the bell holding the chain " wipe out my clan? What for what did we ever do to you? " liberty few at her ready to kick but Delfeen grabbed her ankle and throw her down to the ground. Liberty hit the ground heard some heard it was heard for her to stay awake she opened her eyes half way as she tried to get up. Delfeen came up behind her and kicked her over.

" The first of the clan falls. " she held her swrod above her head.


" Not today she doesn't! "  came an angry voice Delfeen looked to her side only to be purchased in the face by Brooklyn flying at full speed. Broadway and Lexington ran to liberty's side and helped her up.


" are you okay? "Broadway asked


Liberty put a hand on her head" umm I I think so. " She said

There was a shriek from the other side of the bell tower there Brooklyn struggled with Delfeen.

Lexington place a hand on the side of his head and turned on his comlink


" Goliath we have big trouble in the west churts bell tower there's some.... Things attacking us. " he said



" Okay Lexington just hang on me and Hudson are on your way"Goliath said turning

You dear touch Delfeen?" she asked trying to get free


"I dear if it's my family your messing with! " he said throwing her back off balance and stepping back a bit too . Delfeen got up on her knee and looked at them.

"Fin if I have to kill you all at once I will! " she charged at them they all jumped to the side as Delfeen swung her sword. The edge got Lexington on his side and wing.

" Gaaaah"he screamed falling to the ground holding his side as blood ran through his fingers the pain made it hard to breath.


" Lexington! " The other three yelled as Delfeen walked closer held her sword up.

" Your blood is a beautiful color. Let's get more of it . shall we? "

" step away from him Delfeen ! " come Goliath's booming yell

Delfeen look to her side like the other gargoyles as Goliath and Hudson touched down.

" Ahhh Goliath how nice of you to stop by and watch as I kill the first of your clan! " Delfeen said as she went to chop off Lexington's head but before she could Goliath tackled her into the wall. Hudson ran to Lexington.


" are yha all right lad? " he asked placing a hand on the younger's back as the others came up .



" yeah" Lex breathed out "she got me good but... But I'll live."


There was now a small puddle of blood around Lexington and he grew dizzy he fell unconscious.

" Lex! "Liberty said as he did so.


Goliath who was still holding Delfeen against the wall and saw Lexington laying in his own blood.


" Hudson get Lexington and the other's out of here! "he demanded

" But what about you? " Broadway asked


" I'll be fine Go now! "Goliath yelled as Delfeen managed to free one of her hands and let long sharp claws out of the tips of her fingers and slashed them down his face. This made Goliath stumble back.


" Graah"he yelled making the others turn.

" Goliath! " Brooklyn yelled

" We can't leave him. " liberty said looking at her friends.

Hudson sighed " Ie Las your right
Your three assist Goliath I'll protect Lexington. " he said

" Alright come on! " Broadway said as the ran to Goliath.


Hudson watched them but when a small moan came from Lexington he looked down .

" hang in there lad. "

Delfeen slashed Goliath a few more times before kicking him in the jaw.

" Attacking a man before he as a chance to read him self? Dose your kind have no horror?" Goliath asked

" Your kind is now different. "she said darkly


" Step away from from the big purple guys. " come liberty's Voice.


Delfeen and Goliath looked to see the trio standing there.

" No I told you to run! " Goliath said

" running is never the answer remember? " Brooklyn said


" And we never leave a member of our clan behind. "Broadway said

Delfeen smiled

" So this is how you raze your young? How foolish. " she said " You can try to bet me young ones but in the end your blood will be on these walls. " she said


" you wanna bet? " Broadway asked running at her the other soon followed.

Delfeen kick missing Broadway as he got down on all fours and jumped at her. She dove right making him miss then Liberty charged from the right landing one hit on her landing on the other side as Brooklyn came at her she grabbed his wrists and flipped him. Getting up Goliath watch the youngers fight Broadway hit Delfeen making her fall back she rolled in to a crouching pose as Brooklyn charged at her she didn't move. then when Brooklyn was only inches away from her she got her claws out and dug them into Brooklyn's shoulder making him scream in pain.


" No! " Goliath yelled standing up and running to them he grabbed Delfeens arm and pulled it back and the claws out of Brooklyn.

He then spun slamming her into a wall and twisted her arm until there was a small snapped. She groaned in pain kicking Goliath off her she held her injured arm and looked at it the the other's. She turned and ran jumping on of the bell tower. She flapped her wings and flew off while saying.


" You may have been victories in the battle Goliath but next time you will not be so lucky! "  

Goliath watched her fly away before turning to Brooklyn.


" Are you alright? " he asked


" yeah Fin" Goliath helped Brooklyn


"Goliath who was that? " Liberty asked standing up with Broadway

" And how did you know her? " Broadway asked

" all these Questions will be answered back at the clock tower. Four we have our own to attend to. " Goliath said turning and and looking a Lexington who moaned and turned his head.

" the sun will not be up for another few hours if Lexington is to live he will need medical assistants." Goliath said turning and spreading his wings "come on." he said flying off the others followed gliding into the night sky.
